THE DESIGNER
The designer behind knitting.deer is Luisa, a catloving, 30-year old biochemist who started to knit at the beginning of her Bachelors studies as a way to slow down during hectic days and to find a calming balance to the stress of the laboratory work.

"Knitting is not only a way to relax and reflect on my day, but also to express my creative side. I just love the whole process of a new knitwear design, from the first rough idea to a sketch and the search for the perfect yarn quality, over to the gauge swatch and the first stitches which finally, after a long try-and-error proces, lead to a whole new garment."
BEHIND THE NAMES
Knitting.deer stands for unique knitwear designs, which all are named after beloved and equally unique cats as a way to honour them.
As the design collection grew more and more, not only the designers former and current cats were selected as name inspiration but also the cats from dear friends.
